Service Awards
The Virginia Music
Educators Association has established an awards
program to recognize service and excellence in
music teaching in both public and private
schools in the Commonwealth. Service Awards are
presented at the In-Service Conference each
November.
Fifteen Year Certificate
Currently an
active member of VMEA
A music teacher in
a public or private school for at least fifteen
years
A VMEA member (or
its equivalent in another state) for at least
ten years
Twenty-Five Year Pin
Currently an
active member of VMEA
A music teacher in
a public or private school for at least
twenty-five years
A VMEA member (or
its equivalent in another state) for at least
ten years
Retirement Plaque
Retired in the
past five years
An active member
of VMEA at the time you retired
Taught music in a
public or private school for at least
twenty-five years
