Clinician Call for Proposals

The Virginia Music Educators Association welcomes submissions for our 2017 Annual Professional Development Conference to be held November 16 – 18, 2017 at The Omni Homestead Resort in historic Hot Springs, Virginia.

We encourage submission of workshop and “chat room” proposals focused on the conference theme Music for A Lifetime. Workshops are 60 minutes in length and are interactive, hands-on experiential sessions. The “Chat Room” format is 25 minutes in length with the clinician serving as facilitator of a focused, best practice group discussion or demonstration.

Through our conference theme, we explore the lifelong influence of a musical education on learners throughout the Commonwealth. Our 38th Annual Professional Development Conference will bring together music educators, music researchers, and performing ensembles to celebrate the influence of music in our lives and communities.
