VMEA Honors Choir 

The 2025 Senior Honor Choir will be November 20-22, 2025 at the 2025 VMEA Conference in Norfolk. This year’s conductor will be Kristina MacMullen from Baylor University. All 12th grade students enrolled in a VMEA member’s school choral ensemble are eligible to audition. Opus Events will be used to host online auditions. This year for auditions, we will use a song from the Honor Choir repertoire called “Sehnsucht”, a German Partsong by Johannes Brahms.  Students will learn their voice part from a portion of the song and then record it with other parts and the accompaniment on Opus and complete one sight-reading example. Sheet music and accompaniment tracks are available for download below.
