Conference Registration
NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS THROUGH CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
1. Participants can opt-in to purchase a boxed lunch as part of their registration. This convenient lunch option allows for attendees to pick-up their catered boxed lunch at the hotel of their choice and not worry about missing sessions or dealing with lengthy restaurant waits at the few local dining options during heavy lunchtime traffic. While registration is open through November 22nd at 2pm, attendees interested in purchasing the boxed lunch meal plan must do so BEFORE NOVEMBER 1.

2. Participants are invited to a preconference workshop: Bryan Powell's Modern Band Workshop from 10am-4pm on Wednesday. Explore modern band in this hands-on workshop - free with your conference registration! You'll receive instruction on guitar, keyboard, drums, vocals, and bass, with supportive guidance throughout. By the end, you'll be collaborating with fellow participants to create and perform an original song. We'll also delve into the core values of Music Will, such as musical decision-making and culturally sustaining teaching techniques, which you can immediately begin implementing in your classroom. The content covered is applicable to P-12 and higher education classrooms. More information is included when you register for VMEA Conference.
3. Participants are invited to join VMEA for a fun social event on Wednesday to get conference started off early. The details for our first VMEA Beer Sing will be available soon. More information is included when you register for VMEA Conference.
4. Participants are invited to join us for the Norfolk Harbor 5K/VMEA Team. Lace up your sneakers and join VMEA as we run/jog/walk/stroll at the Chartway Norfolk Harbor 5k on Saturday morning of conference. This event is separate from the conference, but will take place on Saturday, November 23 at 8 a.m. right near our hotels. More information is included when you register for VMEA Conference.
We encourage our membership to take advantage of the early bird incentive which has a reduced cost for those who complete the registration process by October 15th.
