Honors Choir Auditions

The 2026 VMEA Senior Honor Choir will be November 19-21, 2026 during the 2026 VMEA Conference in Richmond. This year’s conductor will be Deanna Joseph from Georgia State University. All 12th grade students enrolled in a VMEA member’s school choral ensemble are eligible to audition.

SNAP Audition will be used to host online auditions. This year for auditions we will use a song from the Honor Choir repertoire: “Swifter Than Flame” by Elaine Hagenberg (m. 54-end). Students will record their voice part along with the other voice parts and accompaniment to submit on SNAP and complete one sight-reading example. Practice and performance tracks are available below.
